Ricardo Ffrench-Davis, a Chilean economist, is a postgraduate professor of international economics at the University of Chile and principal regional advisor of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
Professor Ffrench-Davis is the author of "Economic Reforms in Chile: From Dictatorship to Democracy," University of Michigan Press, 2002, and "Reforming the Reforms in Latin America: Macroeconomics, Trade, Finance," Mcmillan/Palgrave, London, 2000. He also edited "Coping with Capital Surges: The Return of Finance to Latin America" with Stephanie Griffith-Jones, International Development Research Center, 1995.
